Annual Meeting Report
Joyce Holmes, Chairman

SPMH members and friends gathered on June 4, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. for the 2001-2002 Annual Meeting and Reception and to commemorate the Society's 10th ANNIVERSARY. Honoring Founders and Life Members Patricia A. Corbett, Louise Dieterle Nippert, Jean Reis and Joyce Van Wye, the Society observed the anniversary years with special recognition of the Green Room donors both past and current.

SPMH guests were welcomed to Music Hall through the Elm Street Foyer for refreshments and music by the Cavally Flute Quartet. In the absence of the President Marlene Johnson, the Vice President Barbara Harshman presided for the brief business format, highlighting a recap of SPMH accomplishments over the decade of the organization's existence. Mrs. Harshman presented a compendium of possible explanations on the origin of the "Green Room" designation.

Mrs. Harshman welcomed new board members and thanked retiring members for their faithful service. Past President Mel Schulman introduced incoming President, Norma Petersen and passed the SPMH gavel to Mrs. Petersen.

Following the business meeting, guests proceeded backstage for dedication of the Green Room plaques, acknowledging those donors over the years whose generosity has created and enhanced these environs.

Adding a note of levity to the anniversary occasion, guests were invited to participate in a "Curiosities Quest." Following a list of clues, guests were challenged to identify and locate special interest features found in the Hall.
